Bamboo interlayer laminated glass is a premium decorative laminated glass product that seamlessly integrates traditional craftsmanship with modern glass processing technology.
TopoGlass uses natural hand-woven bamboo as the central decorative element, embedded between two tempered glass panels. Combined with high-performance PVB or EVA interlayers, the glass is processed under high temperature and pressure to ensure excellent safety, structural integrity, and a distinctive aesthetic inspired by Eastern culture.
This product offers a perfect balance of light transmission and privacy, along with outstanding features such as explosion resistance, UV protection, and sound insulation. It is widely used in luxury residences, art spaces, hotel partitions, commercial displays, and more.
Structure & Principle
Lamination Principle
As a type of laminated safety glass, bamboo interlayer laminated glass is created through a vacuum lamination process in a high-temperature autoclave:
Structural Composition:
1. Surface glass (options: ultra-clear glass, tempered glass, patterned glass)
2. PVB or EVA interlayer film
3. Hand-woven bamboo layer
4. Another layer of PVB or EVA film
5. Bottom glass
Core Technical Principles:
• Vacuum Deaeration: Bamboo material and interlayer films are pre-assembled between the glass sheets, vacuum-sealed to remove air and moisture.
• High-Temperature High-Pressure Lamination: Laminated at ~120°C and 10–15 atm pressure to bond the layers and achieve bubble-free, delamination-free structure.
• Dry or Wet Process: Depending on project needs, either dry lamination (PVB) or wet lamination (EVA) is used.
Application Scenarios
Bamboo laminated glass integrates natural elements with contemporary architectural design and is ideal for the following high-end applications:
• Interior partitions in luxury hotels, clubs, tea rooms, and offices
• Commercial decoration in showrooms, flagship retail stores, museums, and art galleries
• Windows and curtain wall systems with cultural or natural design themes
• Furniture and custom home decor, such as glass tabletops, wardrobe doors, and folding screens
• Cultural and landscape buildings, including libraries, cultural centers, and garden structures
